This is a very good quality mid Victorian period brass doorstop wonderfully cast in the form of this mythical dolphin or sea beast. The casting has great definition and good styling and the brass is a lovely rich colour typical of quality castings from this era, circa 1850.The doorstop measures 35 cms high 24 cms wide 8 cms deep.
