Description

This is a good quality early 20th century bracket clock with a beautiful red tortoiseshell case decorated with gilt ormolu mounts. The clock was a gold medal winner at the Paris Exposition and is stamped to the French movement with the makers name G. Magnin and Medaille d’argent. The movement is in good working order and strikes on the hour and half hour on a gong. The decorative case has an inverted bell top pediment with ormolu finials and side viewing windows beneath gilded cherub mounts. The clock has a pretty, painted porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and the retailers name Goldsmiths and Silversmiths 112 Regent Street London.

The clock is in super condition and measures 33 cms high including the upright handle and is 18 cms wide by 15 cms deep.
