Rams Head Antiques

Description

This is a beautiful Chinese document box which dates from the 19th century, circa 1850. The box is covered in a rich red leather which is embossed and gilded to the front. The inside of the box is lined in vellum and though there are very minor scuffs to the corners, the box is generally in very good condition bearing in mind it's age. It has a brass clasp which would take a little padlock and has brass carry handles to the sides.
The box measures 37cm long, 14cm deep and 14cm high.
