Description

A wonderful and highly sought-after tray, with the winning combination of solid Oak and silver plate by the famous John Grinsell & Sons, well known for using these materials together.

There is a pierced or reticulated gallery that frames the oval shape with integral handles and a central shield shaped mount. The underside is where the makers mark (cupid) can be found.

The plate is all the original plate and remains in superb condition. There is one screw missing from the underside that doesn't effect the tray in any way but mentioned for accuracy. Superb condition spanning 21 1/4" handle to handle, the oval measuring 17 3/4" x 12 1/2".
