Description

We have a very handsome and practical haberdashers chest of eight drawers. Made of Mahogany, it came from a school uniform shop in Lytham Lancashire.

It was originally the lower section of a larger bank of drawers, so when it arrived with us there was no top. We have made a new top from an old piece of mahogany-faced plywood, and finished it with a black trim.

The aluminium handles are original, all drawers are clean and open and close smoothly. Two have paint inside but are clean.

The piece was stripped, stained where necessary to level up the colours,

and polished with a modern water based lacquer according to our usual finishing schedule.

It is a compact size with generous storage. A lovely antique storage item for your home.
