Mid 19th century French walnut commode. Richly figured veneers to the front enhance the simple design of 3 drawers, with a 4th drawer concealed in the top frieze. As often found with figured wood, there are some old patches on the drawers, mostly the top drawer. Shaped bracket feet, stylish brass handles and slightly veined black marble top make this an attractive commode with a warm honey colour.DateMid 19th Century :
