Description

12 inch terrestrial globe made by Weber Costello Co. in Chicago Heights, Illinois, USA. The seas are green. The orb is covered with 12 printed gores which were printed before application. It has a full ring meridian which is cradled in the stand, allowing the orb to slide/rotate, changing the axis angle. The meridian and base is of bronzed cast iron. The condition is very good, no damage to the paper, only a 2 inch area where the paper as lifted slightly. Post 1935 in date (Persia became known as Iran in 1935)
