Exquisite Rare 16th Century Royal Marriage Portrait Panels King Phillip II of Spain and Elisabeth of Valois.King Phillip II depicted in his armour, adorned with The Order of The Golden Fleece around his neck.
Unique and exceptional. Carved oak. Fine detailed work, quite superb.
Carved to celebrate the marriage of King Phillip II of Spain and Elisabeth of Valois in 1559.
King Phillip II was formerly married to Queen Mary, daughter of Henry VIII, and so was also King of England.
