Stunning piece of quality furniture, French made c1870/80 this substantial piece has all the right looks to fit into any interior.

Semainier’s were first seen in the early 1700s and were made as lingerie chests with seven tiers for each day of the week. As time went by they got more elaborate in design always having the seven tiers but getting wider and taller in design.

Fantastic piece and very rare to find one this piece has all the attributes of a top quality piece, comes with a key but sadly the locks don’t work but I’m sure there is someone out their that can easily rectify this.

Some age related marks to be expected we see this used in a smart bedroom but these days pieces like this can be used in a lounge or home office.
