Description

An elegant and fine quality pair of French mahogany and oak lined bedside cabinets with white marble tops. These cabinets are of a superior quality to most of their ilk. They feature a drawer and cupboard to each the doors are ‘handed’, i.e. each cabinet has the door hinged on opposite sides to offer symmetry when placed either side of a bed and to afford the user the ease of opening the door away from the bed. They also have ‘finished’ backs, i.e. the rear of the cabinets is finished to the same standard as the front and sides, allowing them to be used away from a wall without being unsightly should this be required. They are raised on elegantly proportioned carved cabriole legs.

Condition and Details of Restoration

These cabinets are in original structural condition. There are some old marks under the polish and very minor ripples to the veneer in a couple of places as might be expected on examples of this age, but nothing at all significant.
