A superb quality late Victorian walnut dwarf bookcase, of particularly good weight of timber, having an overhung top and slim frieze above a central 12 pane astragal glazed door featuring attractive bevel edge glass, opening to reveal an arrangement of two adjustable book shelves, flanked by two similar open sections, all with reeded stiles, and raised on a plinth base.

Condition and Details of Restoration

This bookcase is in original untouched structural condition and completely sound. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some extremely minor old marks underneath the polish as might be expected on an example of this age.
