Fischer and Mieg Dessert Plate c1860

Description
We have for sale a very decorative dessert plate by the excellent Austrian porcelain manufacturer Fischer and Meig of Perkenhammer, circa 1860-1870.This rather stunning plate is decorated in green, red and gilt with a very attractive Persian inspired pattern depicting a bird sitting at the centre of a curvilinear geometrical botanical design. The plate carries the 1860-70 impressed F&M (Fischer and Meig) mark to the reverse.
The plate is 8.5 inches (21.6cm) in diameter and is in a very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs, although there is some wear to the gilt in places.
