we have for sale a lovely Victorian honeyed oak correspondence box.

The correspondence box is of an sloped upright form consisting of two front doors over a drawer in the base. Unlocking the original brass lock and opening the doors reveals a lovely original and near perfect interior consisting of a five teared letter rack, above a pen tray and compartments for ink bottles over a second curved tray, all over an opening bottom drawer built into the base. The inside of the right hand door comes complete with the original undamaged writing slate and inside of the left door has the original brass fittings for holding a letter in place whilst reading it along with replacement red ribbons.

This correspondence box is a beautiful example of its kind and is in an excellent antique condition other than the age related wear one would expect in a very well looked after and well polished Victorian box. The box is just under 12 & 1/2 inches (31.7cm) high, by 14 & 1/2 inches (36.83cm) wide with the doors shut and 9 inches (22.8cm) deep.
