For sale we have an early Victorian mother of pearl inlaid writing slope.

This very attractive early mother of pearl inlaid Victorian rosewood and coromandel wring slope consists of a box with two hinged lids. The larger of the lids folds out to form a blue felt lined writing slope, the inner component of which can be lifted to reveal a storage compartment beneath. The smaller lid opens to reveal a lift out tray fitted with three lidded compartments, a pen tray and two ink bottle compartments.

The writing slope is 14 inches long and is in a very good original antique condition, although the felt shows signs of wear, there is some minor scratching to compartment lids and a small loss of coromandel veneer to the smaller hinged lid.
