Photos

Description

A very impressive and large oak wall barometer.

The large silvered brass dial featuring extensive engraving to the centre of the dial. Also engraved with the usual weather indicators and the makers name, Joseph Somalvico & Co, 16 Charles Street, Hatton Garden, London. The pressure can be recorded via the brass set hand. A large alcohol thermometer is shown above the main dial enclosed within bevelled glass and with a beautiful curled tube and reading in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade.

The majestic solid oak case is most impressive and displays carved oak leaves, pillars topped with Ionic capitals and an architectural top with a central brass final. The main dial is encased within a brass bezel and a thick bevelled glass.

A statement piece for either the traditional or modern home.
