Good quality 19th century mahogany hat and stick stand, circa 1840 in date, made from an exquisite choice of Cuban mahogany and in lovely complete condition with a charming original patina throughout. A very unusual combination with the stylishly shaped parallel mahogany batons to facilitate the storage of your hat and ample storage which is elegantly divided for both a gentleman's stick or indeed an umbrella. A highly distinctive item perhaps a one off commission for a gentleman's club or indeed for a wealthy industrialists office which could lend itself as a great statement piece in either the modern or period home.
