WYLIE LOCHHEAD OF GLASGOW CHAIR DESIGNED BY E. A. TAYLOR

This is a Wylie Lochhead Solid Mahogany example of the high back version of this chair. It was designed by the E.A. Taylor and is a late Victorian example and has a rush seat. The top has E.A. Taylors broken heart design following the Scottish school movement which this piece is part of. The side rails taper down to the seat and there are four slat back splat supports with the fore legs being swept our and a double front stretcher with the normal side stretcher arrangement. A lovely and rare thing.
