Antique Pine Pedestal Desk

Photos

Description

This distinctive pine desk is made of pitch pine rather than the more ubiquitous oak or mahogany. It has a rich honey coloured patina that is further complemented by its soft green leatherette insets. It was made around 1880 and, unlike so many pedestal desks is of a size that is not too large. It has a central writing slope that opens to reveal a galleried interior with four pigeon holes.
