Description

A beautiful Art Nouveau bronze figure of an oriental dancer by Franz Rosse (1858 - 1900). The finely detailed sculpture shows a maiden dancing whilst playing the flute. The patina of the bronze is two coloured - red brown and brown. Her jewellery and folds of her gown are all well cast and detailed, the barefoot figure stands on bronze flowers and a bronze and red marble base. 

The figure is signed in the bronze F Rosse Fec (18)88 and was made in Germany.
