Handsome Oak Desk in excellent condition with 4 drawers to each pedestal and a central drawer, 9 drawers in total. It has a sliding for resting papers to each side (see pictures) an unusual feature. The desk could stand in the centre of the room as it has dummy drawers to the reverse side of the desk.
It is made in solid oak with mahogany linings and is extremely heavy with solid construction
It is good colour and has the original burgundy leather writing surface with gold tooling and canted, reeded corners. Stylish brass cast swan neck handles, all original.
Dimensions are approx. 54 inches widre, 27 inches deep and 31 inches tall with good legroom of 24 inches.
