Description

An eight day long case clock with an oak case crossbanded in mahogany. This attractive slim clock has a pleasing long door which has a shell inlay in its centre and sits on bracket feet. It has a good hood with a swan neck pedement and the brass finials. A popular round faced dial with nice detail and attractive hands. The replaced movement by Samuel Butterworth of Rochdale is in working order and dates from around 1760. The clock has had some restoration in the non too distant past and is in a good tidy condition. A seriously keen price for an 8 day clock from the 1700s at only £1200, especially considering it is clean and in working order.
