Description

A Handsome fellow indeed. As far as we can see the best/keenest priced working 8 day log cased clock on Antiques Atlas site. This 19thC cross banded Mahogany Long case clock or Grandfather clock has a superb grain as can be seen in the pictures.AS mentioned it boasts an 8 day movement and a well painted arch dial with birds of paradise and moon. The face is in good condition as is the case. We have given this a clean and Country Clocks have checked the running of the movement. The main clock hands are very nice indeed with an engraved detail. It is showing the name of Morris Williams at Bethesda but we do not believe this to be correct. It strikes us as more of a Yorkshire or Lancashire clock by the type of case. This clock is very keenly priced and we feel it would be very difficult to find another 8 day long case in this condition that is working for less money......SORRY SOLD.......
