A large framed and glazed watercolour painting of Crummock Water signed by the 19th century British artist James Noakes and dated 1871.Crummock Water lies in the Lake District, south of Cockermouth and west of Bassenthwaite Lake.
The painting is impressively well framed. The artist's signature is in the bottom left corner and carries a label to the rear.
