This is absolutely beautiful, a gorgeous, tactile ox bone box, all clasps and hinges perfect, it snaps together well, it is exquisitely decorated - the base measures 2.3/4" inch long on the oval and the top measures 1.3/4" inch, it opens to reveal a lovely clean interior - now whether this was originally a snuff or trinket/ring box I am unsure, but I do know that it is exceptional and will not disappoint - it would certainly prove a wonderful and unusual presentation box for a special ring. A lovely vintage c. 1900 piece that will delight the most discerning of buyers!.
