Description

An early 18th century English hook & spike wall clock by Samuel Greaves. A well engraved, small 8" square dial and surmounted by an original cast bell. A matted dial centre with cast corner spandrels. A silvered chapter ring with the original blued steel hand. The original 30 hour, weight driven mechanism striking the hours on the bell. Circa 1710.

The chapter ring is signed 'Samuel Greaves' but with no place name.
