A French brass cased striking carriage clock with an enamel dial with blued steel hands and black roman numerals. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. Movement backplate numbered 357. A lever escapement. Circa 1895.Height 5 1/2" / 14 cms. (size with handle down)
