Description

An antique (C1850) Brazilian rosewood toilet (now jewellery) box with two lift-out trays and lockable storage drawer fitted to receive rings, fob watch etc.
The lid is fitted with a drop-down panel covering a document storage area
The leather lining is marked (in tooled gilt lettering) "J.J.MECHI MAKER 4 LEADENHALL ST. LONDON"
Brahmah lock to lid with working key, flush fitting brass carrying handles.
Re-polished exterior and some relining to the interior.
Excellent condition
The compartment dividers to the rear of the base of the box have been left unsecured to allow the next user to choose the compartment size.
