Description

A stunning 18th Century walnut chest on stand with oak top and stained pine sides. This beautifully proportioned chest has four graduated drawers with plate drop handles, is raised on a stand with a frieze drawer and turned baluster and cup supports united with a decorative all round stretcher. The condition of this Georgian chest on stand is good, there is evidence of historic woodworm, long dead, this has been treated again for peace of mind. There has been very minor, historical restoration, this does not detract from the piece. The colour and patination are superb. This antique chest on stand has an interesting provenance, previously being part of a European royal collection.
