A beautiful 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose pen box and cover enclosing two divisions. The cover of this ceramic box is superbly painted with ladies of the court in an interior scene. The sides are painted with birds and blossoms in shaped reserves on a gilt ground with further pink blossoms and green scrolls. This highly decorative pen box is in excellent condition and ready to display or use on a desk.
