Description

A beautiful cut glass oil lamp manufactured by Osler. The lamp is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks to the glass. The cut glass and crystal etched shade is also in very good condition, with only minor flakes to the fitter rim (which can not be seen when fitted). The shade is not by Osler but works very well with the lamp. A Hinks No. 1 burner has been fitted which is also in excellent working condition. A new cork gasket and wick have been fitted to the burner. The brass-work has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, and waxed. There is one old and very minor solder repair by one of the brass screwheads (shown in photo 4). This is a good, solid repair and is barely noticeable. The black leather base is also in great condition and raises the lamp fractionally - as it should - from the surface. The lamp measures 49 cm to the top of the shade and 58 cm to the top of the glass chimney.
