Description

A Victorian Asprey documents box. The box is finished in black Morocco leather with a central leather carrying handle. The lower lock plate is engraved ‘Asprey 166 Bond St London’, and the inside of the lid is gilded ‘Asprey. Manufacturer to Her Majesty. 166 Bond St. W.’ Inside the box is a lift-out tray for storing writing equipment and a leather lift-out lid to one compartment to secure pens. The box also has an Asprey leather clad inkwell and ‘light’ box with an internal match striker. The box comes with a key which is not original to the box but works nicely. The box measures 38 cm wide, 26.4 cm deep, and 14.4 cm in height. A lovely box with original internal components and accessories.
