Superb Silver & Mother of Pearl, 18th.century Fruit Fork
Hallmarked with the lion which is the silver guarantee mark, and the king`s head duty mark which was introduced after 1786.
A superb, large fruit fork in absolutely unused condition.
The tines, which are beautifully decorated on both sides, open and close correctly, snapping into position - closed, open, and at right angles.

Attractive, straight Mother of Pearl scales to both sides, but there is a very fine crack across the corner, by the hinge -
see picture 4.
Excellent hallmarks and clean deep thumb nail groove.
Uused condition, about 235 years old.

Open length:- 142 millimetres.
Closed length:- 79 mms.
Weight:- 20.0 grams.
