19th Century American “M Cherry” Travel Chest or Steamer Trunk,

A very useful decorative travel trunk, the Trunk is covered with a colourful embossed leather, over this there is oak and iron strapping.

The trunk is sturdy 2 of the catches are working, the central lock does not work the interior paper lining is a bit worn but clean

A superb piece in good condition for its age, with the addition of a glass top it would make a very unusual coffee table
The trunk is 30” wide, 18” deep and 18” high
