The colour offset lithograph floral designed poster with Francis Bacon quoted lettering beginning 'And because the breath of flowers...', advertising the free leaflet Flowers in London, issued by the London Transport Board in 1968, designed by Louise Grose and printed by Johnson, Riddle & Co Ltd '.

Condition is very good there is some light creasing and crinkling where the poster has been folded prior to being framed. The poster is presented in a large simple frame and glazed ready to hang.

Louise Grose was born in 1940 and was originally a graphic designer in London working in publishing for Homes and Gardens, The Times newspaper and the Open University. She undertook freelance exhibitions and commissions with the London Craft Centre, also designing this poster for London Transport, and produced other work for the Washington/Birtley restaurant and the Smithsonian Institute, USA, amongst others. She began exhibiting printmaking etching, and linocuts in 1992. Exhibitions of drawings include the Agora Gallery, NY, 1996. She now lives and works in France.

Beautifully balanced this botanical beauty is a gorgeous artwork.
