Description

A rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle made in Dundee by Alexander Cameron and dating from 1827.
Cameron is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Dundee c1818 to 1840.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark CAM/ERON and DUN/DEE for Alexander Cameron, Dundee, alongside Edinburgh assay marks the Edinburgh castle town mark, Scottish thistle silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and date letter V for 1827/28.
The ladle is in very good condition.
The ladle measures 14" inches (350mm) in length.
The weight is 204.8g/7.22oz/6.58ozt
