Description

A wonderful and rare original oil painting by renowned illustrator and war artist Charles ( Chas ) Pears RI ROI RSMA.
The painting is rather sinister depicting the shadows of a man propping up an incapacitated lady in the car headlights, on a dark lane. The painting really feels like it is an illustration for a book cover, but I can not find a reference to this image.
The painting is oil on artist’s board and is offered in its original simple wood frame. The painting is 32cm x 25.5cm and the frame is cm x cm

Condition
The condition is good. There is some slight bubbling of the paint to top section, but this has been stable for the 15 years I have owned the painting. It would benefit from a light clean.
