Description

A most interesting reference to the artist Peter De Wint (21 January 1784 – 30 January 1849) who was an English landscape painter.
In 1806 De Wint visited Lincoln. He produced many landscapes of Lincoln. In 1947 The City Of Lincoln Usher Gallery held an exhibition of his work and the catalogue was produced for the event.
The book is produced with some 24 loose leaf facsimiles, the front cover bearing one in colour, the rest being black and white. Furthermore the book references 78 of his works.
An interesting & collectible reference piece.
The book is sound and secured with it's original string.
There is creasing to the cover otherwise the condition is good vintage,
