Carved & Painted Oriental Table Screen/Divider
Description
Carved and Painted Oriental Table Screen/ Table divider. Most probably turn of the century, if not a little earlier, and was brought back from the Far East by a member of a traditional naval family who was himself in the service. The screen is in lovely condition with the three parts subtlely gilded but as you can see, when the light from the flash hits it there is a golden hue created. The back of the screen is painted black and has four chrysanthemum type flowers on stems with leaves, elegantly etched into the wood and then once again softly gilded.
A very pretty decorative item, light in weight but strong in atmosphere. Perfect to accompany a collection of small Oriental items or to stand alone as a main feature.
All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within seven days after receipt of the item for a full refund less RETURN transport costs
