Description
Early 19th century 12" convex drop dial wall clock by, probably Benjamin Ellis Coates, Silver Street, Wakefield, Yorkshire.Mahogany case with brass inlay, locking bottom door, and fan ears. Slim surround mahogany bezel, incorporating bezel lock.
Original painted dial, with teardrop hands, protected by a locking cast brass bezel.
Shaped plate line fusee movement separated by knopped pillars.
