Description

Impressive pair of large Japanese Imari bottle vases c.1900. Standing 20" tall, of bulb form with long necks and bulbous bodies. Dense hand painted decoration in classic Imari ware colours. With main panels featuring an exotic bird amongst flora and chrysanthemum flowers arranged symmetrically across the two vases. Set within floral decoration with gold detail and secondary panels featuring lions. Excellent condition.
