Description

Large late 19th.c. Aesthetic Movement overmantle mirror c.1870. Original 47″ x 56″ mirror plate within an unusually broad ebonised or ‘Japanned’ hardwood frame with convex front. Deep moulded plinth at the base to stand on a fireplace (or large piece of furniture perhaps) with carved chrysanthemum head roundels and a delicate carved foliate detail. Excellent original condition with only very minor wear to the mirror. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
