Description

Fine Art Nouveau bust of a woman by the celebrated Austrian makers Goldscheider c.1900. Standing 23" (58cm) tall. Beautifully modelled in painted terracotta as a young woman with her hair loosely tied with a gold ribbon. Apparently naked but surrounded by long spear shaped leaves, also painted gold, and with three flower heads at the front. Signed by the artist 'Gambeourke' in the clay, with the factory mark of Friedrich Goldscheider on the rear together with the serial numbers 2437 / 149 / 19 and the Reproduction Reserve stamp. Excellent condition with the original painted finish and no chips or cracks.
