Here we have a very rare Cherry and Elm George II lambing chair c1750. As you can see the chair has the most delicious colour and patina. This extremely rare chair has the original side extending board made from solid Elm and retaining the original Iron work loops and supporting bar and loop holder. The whole frame is solid Cherry with extended side supports to the top with scroll work ends and a beautiful shaped frieze between. There is a super shaped fielded panel to the back and well shaped arms. The seat is a wonderfully figured piece of thick Elm and the base is of typical boxed construction. The whole piece constructed with pegged mortice and tenon joints with the pegs slightly raised from the surface with age. A truly wonderful collectors item which is ready to use and very comfortable and only lacking a pint of real ale sat on the extending table. The chair is fantastic retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are aprrox 124 cm high 72 cm wide 63 cm deep.
