Here we have a wonderful rare George IV painted Pine blanket chest or storage/toy box c1820. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The lovely scumbled paint has been made to look like burr wood in the central panels and there is an ebonised frame and the border probably made to look like Ash. Internally there is a cavernous space and herb or candle box to the side with a single and secret drawer below. There are original hand forged strap hinges and the whole sits of bracket feet. A fantastic English chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 120 cm wide 57 cm deep 64 cm high.
