Description

A superb quality Sheraton revival antique inlaid mahogany display cabinet. This regency type 19th century Edwardian sideboard chiffonier side narrow cabinet is firmly attributed to the London makers Edwards and Roberts. The top is surmounted by an original gilt bronze gallery with a marquetry inlaid frieze. To the centre is a pair of cupboard doors with panels of inlay depicting musical instruments in boxwood, harewood and satinwood above which is an open recess flanked by two astragal glazed doors with two drawers to either side. The whole is united by a display shelf and raised on tapered legs and spade feet. This piece of furniture has been restored by qualified and professional restorers to include re-lining and polishing and is ready to grace any home. Measures 50”w x 55”h x 15”d.Circa 1895.
