Offered for sale is this superb quality set of ten Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs in excellent condition consisting of eight single and two carver chairs. The chairs are a rich dark brown mahogany colour with original patination and date to about 1900 - 1920. The set of ten mahogany Chippendale style chairs are of excellent proportions and have a carved yoke shaped back rail with pierced and carved centre splat above drop - in seats newly reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric and standing on cabriole supports with acanthus carved shoulders and ball and claw feet. These are a superb quality set of chairs with very dense and heavy mahogany. The set of 10 antique mahogany chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived and waxed along with the seats reupholstered.
