Late 19th century Chinese white metal chatelaine with needle case & charms,features two white metal carp,a white metal betel nut with a white metal flower inside and two white metal bells which open to reveal white metal flowers inside.The needle case is decorated with a stork and deer. The belt clip has a scroll design with insect features and a round carnelian stone attached,in very good condition,c1900.From the collection of the late Helen Eastgate,American sewing paraphernalia collector and author of Musing With Postcards & Stitches.Needle case measures approx' 2inches.Total length of chatelaine measures approx' 15inches.
