Description

Here we have an elegant Early 20th Century Silver Plate Champagne Bucket or Wine Cooler. The bucket is in the classical campana urn form, with a reeded domed base, a part reeded body with two shell decorated handles and a gadrooned top rim. The bottle is for display purposes only and not included.

The champagne bucket was made in England and dates to around the 1920s/30s. There is no makers' mark so we are unable to say who it was manufactured by.

Condition is very good, with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss, a little water marking to the inside, as you would expect, and just the superficial surface wear that has to be anticipated with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The champagne bucket is of a substantial size, standing 24.3cm / 9.5ins high and measuring 24cm / 9.4ins in diameter across the top rim. It weighs 1.5kg / 52.9oz.

The underside of the base is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND, dating it to after 1921, and SILVER PLATED ON COPPER.

Shipping in the UK is £10.50 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
