Description: Ancient oil painting on canvas depicting water lilies bathing, dating back to the second half of the 19th century.

The composition of the scene is carried out by the two semi-naked women portrayed in the open countryside.

The two characters are well modelled, the brushwork is full-bodied and the use of chiaroscuro creates volume and plasticity.

The light illuminates the figures creating areas of chiaroscuro with the surrounding vegetation.

The canvas is embellished with a beautiful French gilded wooden frame in gold leaf from the same period.
