Victorian Cut Glass Column Oil Lamp.
A rare survivor from the Victorian era.
This fabulous lamp has a cast & stepped brass base, cut glass column ending in a wonderfully cast brass capital, the oil reservoir is cut glass & matches the column. The shade is frosted with acid etched decoration & is also fluted. A fantastic piece.
The makers stamp of Hincks & son can be found on the double burner along with the registration number 97643. The words Hink's Duplex patent are found on the burner control.
Condition very good, minor chibble at base of column, very difficult to see. Minor chip to top of funnel again very difficult to see.
Height 34" to top of funnel, base stepped base 6.25" square, column height 11" of glass showing.
